PUMPKIN PATROL
Keeping Kids Safe on Halloween

Pumpkin Patrol Access Communications Events

Access Communications' Pumpkin Patrol is our co-operative's unique annual safety program. Access Communications employees and community volunteers patrol the streets on Halloween evening as a safe contact in case children need help while trick-or-treating.

Each Pumpkin Patrol vehicle is equipped with Access signage, a flashing orange pumpkin, and radios in contact with central dispatch at Access's office. In the case of an incident, Access Communications has a direct link to the local police or RCMP dispatch, depending on the community.

This year, Pumpkin Patrol will be active in Regina, Weyburn, Estevan, Yorkton, North Battleford and La Ronge.

The program is supported by many community partners across the province including:
  • Harvard Broadcasting
  • Regina Police Services
  • Citizens on Patrol
  • WMB Ambulance Service
  • Weyburn Fire Department
“Pumpkin Patrol is just one of the ways Access Communications gets involved in the communities we serve. Our staff members have a great time out there while they are providing a valuable public service.”

-Jim Deane, Access Communications President and CEO
