Access7 will once again broadcast live coverage of the First Nations University of Canada’s Annual Spring Celebration Pow-Wow event.
“As a community owned co-operative, we are proud to support such an important event in Saskatchewan,” says Jim Deane, CEO, Access Communications Co-operative. “Each year Access7 Community channels make it possible for people in over 88 communities across Saskatchewan to experience this dynamic event.”
The annual event, celebrating First Nation’s culture and talent, will broadcast live from the Brandt Centre at Evraz Place in Regina on Saturday, April 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
This much anticipated event is also considered one of the biggest pow-wows in Saskatchewan, attracting more than 7000 visitors and participants from across Canada and the United States. Since it first began in 1978, the event has been held every year to celebrate cultural diversity, to unify families and communities, and to demonstrate First Nations traditions through a wide variety of song, dance, food and craft.
