Access Communications a Proud Partner of the Regina Food Bank’s Annual Food Drive
Thursday, October 13, 2016
Access Communications has been a proud partner of the Regina Food Bank’s Annual Food Drive since 2007. On Saturday October 15, Access volunteers will be out on the streets between 2 pm and 4:30 pm collecting any food donations that have been missed. If you are a resident of Regina and your food donation has not been picked up by 2 pm call (306) 205 – FOOD and a friendly volunteer will then come by to collect your donation.
“As a community-owned co-operative, we are proud to support such a worthy cause that benefits so many families in Regina,” said Tracey Mucha, Communications Officer for Access Communications Co-operative. “Our contribution is just a small part in making sure that no families go hungry this year.”
This is the largest single food-raiser for the Regina Food Bank with over 300 tons of food raised last year in a 24 hour period. To participate, Regina residents can leave a non-perishable food donation on their doorsteps on Saturday October 15. Alternatively, residents can also visit their local Sherwood Co-op, Regina Safeway, Superstore, Extra Foods or Sobey stores to purchase a pre-made hamper and drop them in the provided collection bins.
