Access Communications Proud Partner of the 31st Annual Regina Food Bank Food Drive
Thursday, October 12, 2017
Regina, SK – Access Communications is proud to be partners in the longest running community food drive in Canada. This year is special as it marks the 10th year Access has been involved in the Regina Food Bank’s Annual Food Drive.
Each year, this food-raiser collects over 375 tons of food. To participate, Regina residents can leave a non-perishable food donation on their doorsteps on Saturday, October 14. Local youth, community groups and individuals go door-to-door to collect these items.
Sometimes a few items are missed, that’s where Access Communications comes in. Volunteers will be out on the streets between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. collecting any missed non-perishable food items. If you are a resident of Regina and your food donation has not been picked up by 2 p.m. call (306) 205 – FOOD and a friendly volunteer will then come by to collect your donation.
“Access is always looking for ways to give back to the communities we serve,” said Tracey Mucha, Communications Officer. “Our contribution is just a small part in making sure that no families go hungry this year.”
Residents can also visit their local Sherwood Co-op, Regina Safeway, Superstore, Extra Foods or Sobeys stores to purchase a pre-made hamper and drop them in the provided collection bins. Alternatively, you can donate through the Virtual Food Drive available on the food banks website: https://reginafoodbank.ca.
