Enjoy one of Canada’s most popular recreational activities: skating.
Part of being Canadian is learning to skate and the Access Communications Children's Fund learn-to-skate and leisure rink is here to help! Last year, we opened our leisure skating rink in our Community Park, 2250 Park Street, Regina SK. This amazing initiative is designed to help children learn to skate. All ages are welcome to come out and enjoy it. Complementary skates and helmets are available to use as well.
Hours: Open to the public
The community rink will be open to the public from December 14th until March (as conditions allow) – the operating hours are:
- Saturdays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Sundays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Access Communications would like to extend a special thanks to our sponsors for helping to make this Community Rink possible.
Access Communications Co-operative wants to make sure every child has a chance to skate! We are seeking hockey and figure skates for children who may not otherwise have the chance to skate. Donate gently used skates at our Regina retail location on 2250 Park Street. All equipment collected stays local.
Starting Saturday, January 4th, Access Communications volunteers are providing FREE instructional learn-to-skate sessions on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The learn-to-skate program will help children that don't have much skating experience or may be on skates for the first time. The program focus will be on balance and coordination and the introduction of such skills as stopping, pushing and gliding.
