Customer Support: Wi-Fi Settings and Password

Changing your Wi-Fi Name and Password

You can manage your Wi-Fi settings easily through the Plume HomePass app if you subscribe to AccessHyperSpeed+ or AccessSmart Wi-Fi+. Otherwise, follow the steps below.

Hitron modems

Locating your Wi-Fi password

1. Connect your device to the modem, directly via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly via Wi-Fi.
2. Open a web browser and visit 192.168.0.1.
3. Sign in using the following credentials:

Username: cusadmin
Password: password (or your Wi-Fi password)

3. Select Wireless from the menu at the top of the page.
4. Select the WPS & Security tab.
5. Locate your current Wi-Fi password under the Security Settings section.

You have 2 Wi-Fi networks, and they may have different passwords depending on how it was set up. Select each network to view its information.

Changing your password

1. After locating your Wi-Fi password in the steps above, enter a new password in the Password field.
2. Select Save Changes.

Locating your Wi-Fi password

1. Connect your device to the modem, directly via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly via Wi-Fi.
2. Open a web browser and visit 192.168.0.1.
3. Sign in using the following credentials:

Username: admin
Password: the password will be located on the white label on the bottom of the modem.

4. Select Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi from the menu on the left side of the page.
5. Locate your current Wi-Fi network under the Private Wi-Fi Network section. Click on Edit.

You have 2 Wi-Fi networks, and they may have different passwords depending on how it was set up. Select each network to view its information.

6. Find the Change Password option and check the box to enable the ability to change your Wi-Fi network password. Type in the new Wi-Fi password in the Network Password field directly above it.

When changing the password, you will not be able to see the characters you type, so make sure to type slowly and accurately. If you make a mistake and save your changes, you will not be able to connect your devices.

7. Select Save Settings.
