19th Annual Labour Day Show N Shine Raises Over $36,000 for the Regina Food Bank

Regina, SK – Access Communications Co-operative (Access), the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan, and presenting sponsor CAA Saskatchewan are proud to share that the 19th Annual Access Communications Labour Day Show N Shine raised an incredible $36,800 for the Regina Food Bank. This remarkable achievement brings the total amount raised since the event's inception in 2006 to over $450,000, showcasing the incredible spirit of community support. This translates into over 1.35 million meals for people in Regina facing food insecurity.

“Standing in that park on Sunday, watching 300 cars roll, you understand what this event really is. It is a car show on the surface and a food drive underneath,” said Tracey Mucha, Senior Manager of Community Engagement. “We are grateful to CAA Saskatchewan as our presenting sponsor, to Harvard Media as our media partner, and to all our sponsors. As a not-for-profit co-operative, supporting communities is at the heart of what we do. That gratitude also goes out to the Collectors Car Club, our exhibitors and volunteers, and to everyone who chose to spend their Labour Day weekend with us.”

The Labour Day Show N Shine took place on Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Access Communications Community Park. This was our rainout date as the show was postponed from Monday, Sept. 7 (Labour Day). The show celebrated the passion for vintage and modern automobiles and motorcycles, showcasing over 300 remarkable vehicles and welcoming approximately 3,500 attendees.

This annual gathering not only brings together the community, local businesses, and automobile enthusiasts but also inspires appreciation for collectible vehicles while supporting a wonderful cause: raising funds for the Regina Food Bank.

Show N Shine has been privileged to have CAA Saskatchewan as its presenting sponsor for 11 years and running.

“Every year, this community shows up for its neighbours. The Show N Shine is proof that people care, and that care shows up on our shelves for months to come,” said Mary Weimer, President and CEO, Regina Food Bank. “We are deeply grateful to Access Communications, CAA Saskatchewan, the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan, and every sponsor, volunteer, and attendee who makes this event possible year after year.”
