This marks another major step forward in expanding modern communications across Saskatchewan. With more than 130 communities already connected through Access’s infrastructure program, each new connection strengthens both the network and the communities it serves.
“We’re seeing the impact of this work in real time,” said Carmela Haines, President and CEO of Access Communications. “Communities that didn’t have access to these services before are now connected, opening the door to new opportunities for families, businesses, and local economies.”
As more communities come online, residents gain access to speeds of up to AccessHyperSpeed+ 1 Gig, supported by AccessSmart WiFi+ for a stronger in-home experience, all backed by local Saskatchewan-based teams who understand the communities they serve.
For these communities, connection means more:
- More opportunity for local businesses to grow and compete
- More access to learning, work, and essential services
- More ways for families to stay connected and engaged
- More confidence in their community’s future
Alongside high-speed internet, many communities will also gain access to AccessNexTV Stream, smart home and business security solutions, and dependable phone services, delivering a full suite of modern communications options.
“Access Communications investment strengthens our local economy, supports our residents, and ensures Naicam remains connected in a fast‑changing world,” said Mayor of Naicam, Rodger Hayward. “We’re grateful for your commitment to Naicam and proud to have you as a partner in building a stronger, more connected community.”
As a 100% community-owned, Saskatchewan not-for-profit co-operative, Access reinvests every dollar back into the province, ensuring that as more communities connect, the benefits stay local.
