REGINA, SK – Access Communications Co-operative has released its 2026 Community Impact Report, Wired to Care, highlighting the co-operative's investment in the people and communities it serves through the Access Communications Children's Fund (ACCF), Community Programming, and Corporate Initiatives and Sponsorships.
In 2025, the ACCF donated $349,045 to 64 non-profit and community-based organizations across Access's service areas, supporting children who are at risk, in need, or among the most vulnerable. The Fund also marked 20 years of the Access Communications Children's Fund TV Bingo, a Saturday night tradition that has aired more than 1,000 episodes since it launched in February 2006.
"At Access, caring isn't a campaign or a program—it is who we are as a co-operative," said Carmela Haines, President and CEO. "Every dollar we earn is reinvested to strengthen the communities we serve, whether that's helping children and families, supporting local programming, or investing in initiatives that make our communities stronger. This report reflects the incredible commitment of our employees, volunteers, members, and community partners, and the meaningful impact we can achieve together."
The report also details a year of record-setting fundraising across Access's broadcast partnerships. The Regina Humane Society Telethon ($105,000) the Weyburn Communithon ($101,500), and the Estevan United Way Telethon ($415,000) each set new fundraising records in 2025, broadcast live on AccessNow TV. The 18th annual Access Communications Labour Day Show N Shine raised $50,260 for the Regina Food Bank, bringing the event's total contribution to more than $420,000, or over 1.25 million meals, since 2006. Access also awarded $27,000 in scholarships to Saskatchewan high school seniors and students at the University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
