Access Communications Pumpkin Patrol is keeping trick-or-treaters safe on Halloween

Regina, SK – A Saskatchewan tradition for 24 years returns on Halloween night! Pumpkin Patrol is a safety awareness program with Access Communications staff and volunteers out on patrol in 11 communities across the province.

Pumpkin Patrol volunteers will be in Access Communications vehicles equipped with a flashing orange light, glow-in-the-dark signage and a direct link to local law enforcement if needed. Volunteers will be driving around neighbourhoods from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 31st in the following communities: Estevan, Martensville, Melville, La Ronge, Air Ronge, North Battleford, Battleford, Regina, Warman, Weyburn, and Yorkton.

“Halloween might look a bit different this year, but our Pumpkin Patrol program has always been about safety awareness,” said Fran Moran, Communications Manager at Access Communications. “This program is just another way we give back to the communities we serve, and we couldn’t do it without our stellar group of volunteers. Our volunteers are closely following guidelines provided by the Saskatchewan Health Authority to make sure we’re there to help in a safe manner.”
