Access Communications to collect missed Regina Food Drive donations

Regina, SK – Access Communications is proud to partner with the Regina Food Bank for the annual Regina Food Drive once again.

“As a community-owned co-operative, we're proud to support local families by fighting hunger,” says Tracey Mucha, Communications Manager, Access Communications Co-operative. "About 8,500 people use the Regina Food Bank each month, and they are beginning to see an increase in demand."

Access volunteers will be out on the streets between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 13th collecting any food donations that were missed during the city-wide morning collection.

Residents of Regina can call Access Communications at (306) 205-FOOD and a friendly volunteer will be dispatched to collect the donation.

The Regina Food Drive is the largest campaign of the year for the Regina Food Bank, bringing in over 180,000 tonnes of food annually.

To participate in the Food Drive, Regina residents are encouraged to leave a non-perishable food donation on their doorsteps on Saturday, October 13th. Alternatively, residents can also visit their local Sherwood Co-op, Regina Safeway, Superstore, Extra Foods or Sobeys stores to purchase a pre-made hamper and drop them in the provided collection bins. Alternatively, you can donate through the Virtual Food Drive available on the Food Bank’s website: https://reginafoodbank.ca.

Access also supports the Regina Food Bank with the annual Labour Day Show N Shine fundraising event - raising over $20,000 each year.
