Regina, SK – Access Communications played host to a packed crowd of community members coming to enjoy a traditional holiday meal in support of the annual fundraising luncheon for the Salvation Army. What started as a small event by a group of dedicated employees 25 years ago, the luncheon has grown into a several hundred person event. Since its inception, well over $100,000 has been raised to support local families that need a little holiday cheer.
“Doing good in the lives of Saskatchewan’s people, especially those struggling, is a year-round job our staff are always eager to be a part of,” said Jim Deane, President and CEO of Access Communications. “The dinner has become a favourite event for many in the business community — and a great way to share some holiday fellowship with other leaders in the community, while supporting those in need.”
Val Wiks, who was at the luncheon to accept the donations on behalf of the Salvation Army, agrees.
“Once again this year, we are simply overwhelmed by the generosity of our community and the partnerships we have with people who believe in the mission of the Salvation Army,” said Val Wiks. “Access Communications luncheon will help support 40 families – what a great accomplishment – we are so very grateful for the support we received.”
