Over $340,000 awarded through the Access Communications Scholarship Program since 2005

Regina, SK – Access Communications Co-operative today announced it will be awarding scholarships of $1,000 to 20 grade 12 graduates across Saskatchewan through the Access Communications Scholarship Program.

The program recognizes graduating students who demonstrate exemplary community involvement as well as academic achievement.

“Access recognizes young community leaders across Saskatchewan," said Jim Deane, Chief Executive Officer, Access Communications Co-operative. “We’re excited to celebrate and reward young people across the province who make positive contributions to their hometowns.”

Scholarship recipients are selected by an awards committee. The Committee considered students’ contribution to community first and foremost when considering winners. Students who are interested in submitting their 2020 names for consideration may find more information on the application process at www.MyAccess.ca/InTheCommunity.

In addition to the Access Scholarship Program, scholarships are awarded each year to students enrolled at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in the Computer Networking Technician and the Telecommunications Network Technician certificate programs. As well scholarships are also awarded at the University of Regina through the Access Communications / Fred Wagman Scholarship in Film & Video.

Access Communications is proud of the communities they serve and thrilled to help them build on their wonderful spirit through community involvement each year. To learn more about our scholarship programs, visit www.MyAccess.ca/InTheCommunity.
