18th Annual Labour Day Show N Shine Raises Over $50,000 for the Regina Food Bank

Regina, SK – Access Communications Co-operative (Access), the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan, and presenting sponsor CAA Saskatchewan are proud to share that the 18th Annual Access Communications Labour Day Show N Shine raised an incredible $50,260 for the Regina Food Bank. This remarkable achievement brings the total amount raised since the event's inception in 2006 to over $420,000, showcasing the incredible spirit of community support. This translates into more than 1.25 million meals for people in Regina facing food insecurity.

"Each year, this show highlights the power of community. It embodies more than just chrome and horsepower; it symbolizes neighbours coming together to uplift one another,” said Carmela Haines, President and CEO of Access.  “A heartfelt thank you to our title sponsor, CAA Saskatchewan, our media partner, Harvard Media, and all our other sponsors. Our gratitude extends to the Collectors Car Club, our exhibitors, volunteers, and everyone who chose to spend their Labour Day with us. Your generosity fuels the Regina Food Bank, bringing hope and dignity to those who need it most."

The Labour Day Show N Shine took place on Monday, September 1, at the Access Communications Community Park. Celebrating the passion for vintage and modern automobiles and motorcycles, the event showcased nearly 500 remarkable vehicles and welcomed approximately 5,000 attendees.

This annual gathering not only brings together the community, local businesses, and automobile enthusiasts but also inspires appreciation for collectible vehicles while supporting a noble cause —raising funds for the Regina Food Bank.

“We are incredibly grateful to Access Communications, the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan, CAA Saskatchewan, and everyone who made this year's Labour Day Show N Shine possible. Raising over $50,000 in a single day is extraordinary and shows how this event brings people together, fostering incredible community spirit for a common cause,” said John Bailey, CEO of the Regina Food Bank. “These funds will help us provide essential food support to thousands of individuals and families facing food insecurity. This kind of support reminds us that no one has to face hunger alone.  Your generosity directly translates into hope and nourishment for our neighbors in need.”

Show N Shine has been privileged to have CAA Saskatchewan as its presenting sponsor for ten years.

CAA Saskatchewan is proud to be a longtime supporter of the Labour Day Show N Shine,” said Fred Titanich, President & CEO. “The event shows the true power of community, and we’re honoured to stand alongside Access, the Collectors Car Club, and all the volunteers and supporters making a difference for the Regina Food Bank.”
