Access Children’s Fund learn-to-skate and leisure outdoor rink now open

Regina, SK – Enjoy one of Canada’s most popular recreational activities, skating, at the Access Communications Children’s Fund learn-to-skate and leisure rink. Our outdoor rink in Regina is now open.

Located at the Access Communications Park, 2250 Park Street, with operating hours Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All ages are welcome to come out and enjoy it. Complementary skates and helmets are available to use as well.

In January, Access Communications volunteers will provide instructional learn-to-skate sessions on Saturday’s from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The learn-to-skate program will help children that don’t have much skating experience or may be on skates for the first time. The program focus will be on balance and coordination, and the introduction to such skills as stopping, pushing, and gliding. “Giving back to the communities we serve is at the heart of all we do,” said Tracey Mucha, Community Programming Manager, Access Communications Co-operative. “A lot of smiles and laughter will be shared at the Access Communications Children’s Fund learn-to-skate and leisure Community Rink during the winter months.”
