Access Communications ‘gears up’ for Labour Day Show N Shine in support of Regina Food Bank

Regina, SK – The Access Communications 11th annual Labour Day Show N Shine showcasing hundreds of classic and vintage vehicles returns on Monday, September 4th from noon to 4 p.m. at Access Communications Community Park, 2250 Park Street in Regina. The event features music, Regina’s favourite food trucks, great contest prizes, face painting by the Street Culture Kids and People’s Choice Awards for various vehicle categories.

The Labour Day Show N Shine is the largest car show in Southern Saskatchewan and has become a family tradition all in support of a really good cause.

“We’re ready to host our eleventh annual Show N Shine this weekend,” says Jim Deane, President and CEO, Access Communications Co-operative. “It’s all about uniting with local businesses, collector hobbyists and the community to help address the hunger problem.”

The event is organized in partnership between Access Communications Co-operative and the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan, together with over 80 volunteers. This year’s event is presented by CAA Saskatchewan. Supporting sponsors include Abadoo Marketing, Bennett Dunlop Ford, Custom Creations, Loraas Disposal, Western Litho Printers, CJME, Z99 and JackFM.

Steve Compton, Chief Executive Officer for the Regina Food Bank, says “It’s been a privilege to work with all the community partners and sponsors over the years and we look forward to the support the event will bring.”

CAA Saskatchewan is back in the driver’s seat as presenting sponsor of the 2017 Labour Day Show N Shine. “As Saskatchewan’s automobile association of choice, we are pleased to showcase the best in antique and collector automobiles, while helping to feed families thanks to the Regina Food Bank,” said Fred Titanich, President and CEO, CAA Saskatchewan. The 2017 Saskatchewanderer, Andrew Hiltz, will attend this year’s event and attendees will find him at the CAA Celebrate 100 Years display located on the ball diamond area, or touring the area visiting with car enthusiasts of all ages.
