Access Communications Telethon Raises $59,935 in Support of Regina Humane Society

Regina, SK – The 31st annual Regina Humane Society (RHS) Telethon, presented by Access Communications Co-operative, aired LIVE March 17th for its 4-hour celebration of animals and people. This year’s telethon was an outstanding success raising $59,935. Donations can still be made online at www.reginahumanesociety.ca on or by calling 306-543-6363.

“We air a number of telethons throughout the year, but the response to the Humane Society Telethon always blows me away,” said Wade Peterson, Community Programming & Sales Manager, Access Communications Co-operative. “A good cause makes all the difference, and this year’s telethon proved that.”

Deanne Guest, Director of Development at the RHS said the support was much needed.

“This is all about the animals, but it also showcases that every donation, no matter how big or small, directly supports important community programs and services such as animal protection, spay/neuter, lost pet return, education and outreach that are crucial to the RHS life-saving mission everyday”, Guest said.

Each year, Access Communications provides community programming and technical support to help raise awareness for worthwhile events across the province. Visit www.myaccess.ca/inthecommunity to learn more.
