Access Communications Telethon Raises $68,940 in support of Regina Humane Society

Regina, SK – The 30th annual Regina Humane Society (RHS) Telethon, presented by Access Communications Co-operative, aired LIVE March 25th for its 4-hour celebration of animals and people. This year’s telethon was an outstanding success raising $68,940, setting a new record for the event.

“During the last 30 years, this telethon has raised over $1,000,000 to support the work of the animal shelter,” said Wade Peterson, Community Programming Manager, Access Communications Co-operative. “The money raised stays here in our community to support the Humane Society. We thank our media friends, and the many volunteers who give so generously of their time to make this possible.”

Lisa Koch, Executive Director at the RHS said the support was much needed.

“The funds raised through the annual Telethon are crucial to the Society and its ability to provide its many programs and services to the animals and people in our community”, said Koch. “We are very grateful for our donors, volunteers and business partners who made this event such a success”.

RHS Telethon donations can still be made online at www.reginahumanesociety.ca on or by calling 306-543-6363.
