Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
Camera Operator
You will be trained and placed to work on various productions as a Camera Operator. Working under a Producer the operator will provide the shots and camera movements as required. The Camera Operator will be requested to attend pre-production meetings, and assist with tear down after the production. The job requires some lifting of components, running cables and assembly of cameras. Dress as situation requires.
Audio Operator
You will be trained and placed to work on productions as an Audio Operator. Working under the Producer the Audio Operator will be responsible for all aspects of audio recording, including microphones and and audio playback. The operator will be requested to attend pre-production meetings and assist with tear down after the production. Dress is casual.
Graphics Operator
You will be trained and placed to work on various productions as a Graphics Operator. Working under the Producer the Graphics Operator will be responsible for preparing on-screen graphics for a production, then inserting graphics at the request of the Producer. The Graphics Operator will be requested to attend pre-production meetings, may be asked to come early to prepare graphics and to assist with tear down. Dress is casual.
Floor Director
You will be trained and placed to work on various productions as a Floor Director. Working under the Producer the Floor Director will be responsible for all aspects of talent management and cueing, including greeting, script changes, microphone placement and the communication with talent from the floor. The Floor Director will be requested to attend pre-production meetings and assist with tear down as required. Dress is casual, comfortable, quiet shoes a must.
On-Air Host
You will be trained and placed to work on various productions as a On-Air Host. Working under a Producer the Host will learn how to interview guests, present to camera, write your own scripts and work on Mobile, Studio and / or ENG productions. Dress is subject to the production.
