Access Communications Labour Day Show N Shine raises $41,000 for the Regina Food Bank

Regina, SK – What a beautiful Labour Day for a car show, as the 14th Access Communications Annual Labour Day Show N Shine proved with a record-breaking turnout. The final tally? More than 600 exhibitors and over 4,000 spectators helped raise $41,236 for the Regina Food Bank, the show’s largest total ever.

The event is hosted together by Access Communications Co-operative and the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan, along with CAA Saskatchewan, the title sponsor for the fifth consecutive show. The event brings together collectible car and motorcycle enthusiasts with community businesses to support the Regina Food Bank’s fight against food insecurity in Regina.

“We couldn’t be more grateful to the community for the incredible turnout,” said Jim Deane, CEO of Access Communications. “This was a special show, and we’re in awe of the outpouring of support from car enthusiasts, guests and our sponsors alike that led to our record-breaking results. The Labour Day Show N Shine is a labour of love, and it wouldn’t be possible without the tireless efforts of the 100 volunteers from Access Communications, the Collectors Car Club, and the Regina Food Bank.”

“CAA Saskatchewan was excited to return as presenting sponsor,” said Fred Titanich, President and CEO of CAA Saskatchewan.  “Our CAA Family Fun Zone was very popular with families of all ages, and at CAA, we’re all about helping families. We know this past year has been challenging for everyone, especially for those who rely on the Regina Food Bank. As a local, dedicated member-based business and long-time community advocate, we are a proud supporter of the Labour Day Show N Shine.”

“The Labour Show N Shine is such an amazing event for our city, bringing together folks young and young-at-heart for a wonderful day,” said John Bailey, CEO of the Regina Food Bank. “To set a record fundraising total in its 14th iteration is a testament to the place this show holds in Regina’s heart. It has been an incredibly trying year for the Regina Food Bank, and we have persevered because our community has our back. Thank you to CAA Saskatchewan, the Collectors Car Club, Access Communications, and all the volunteers, guests, and exhibitors. You are all neighbours feeding neighbours, and our work would not be possible without you.”
