The 16th Annual Labour Day Show N Shine Raises Over $32,000 for Regina Food Bank

Regina, SK – Access Communications, the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan and title sponsor CAA Saskatchewan are excited to announce the 16th Annual Access Communications Labour Day Show N Shine (Show N Shine) raised $32,744 in support of the Regina Food Bank. The show has now eclipsed 1 million meals donated to the Regina Food Bank. 

“The sun may not have been shining, but people’s spirits certainly did as hundreds came out to show their vehicles in support of a great cause,” said Carmela Haines, President and CEO of Access. “The money raised is a testament to the show, the organizers, and the quality of the vehicles on display. Thank you to our sponsors, organizers, volunteers and the public who came out.” 

The Labour Day Show N Shine was held on Monday, Sept. 4, at the Access Communications Community Park. It featured almost 400 vintage and modern automobiles, plus motorcycles. 

The events brings together the community, businesses, and car enthusiasts to appreciate collectible vehicles and raise money towards fighting hunger in Regina. Since the show began in 2006, over $300,000 has been raised for the Regina Food Bank. 

“Through the tireless efforts of the planning committee and the unwavering support of our community, the 16th Annual Access Communications Labour Day Show N Shine has not only showcased remarkable vehicles but also illuminated the spirit of giving,” said John Bailey, CEO of the Regina Food Bank. “Thanks to the title sponsor CAA Saskatchewan, the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan, and of course Access Communications, we raised $32,744, bringing our total meals donated to the Regina Food Bank to over 1 million in the 16 years of the event. It's a testament to the power of unity and compassion.”
