Access Communications selected as one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for 2021

Regina, SK – Access Communications Co-operative is honoured to be recognized as one of the Top Employers in Saskatchewan as part of Mediacorp Canada’s 16th annual competition. This special designation acknowledges Access Communications as a leader in offering an exceptional place to work.

“It’s truly humbling to be selected for the tenth year as one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers,” said Jim Deane, Chief Executive Officer at Access Communications Co-operative. “From the onset of the pandemic, our priority has been the safety of our 300 employees while providing support and minimizing the disruption to their day-to-day lives. We commend our staff for doing their part to deliver the essential services our communities needed while creating a positive, engaging and, most importantly, safe work environment."

Access Communications was evaluated on eight criteria, the same used for the national Canada Top 100 Employer’s competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared with other organizations in their field to determine which ones offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.

“The word ‘essential’ has taken on a whole new meaning in the past year,” says Richard Yerema, Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “Organizations and individuals are reflecting on what is important to them, what their primary needs are – and this year’s winners have worked hard to ensure that employees feel safe,m supported, and connected.”
